FINALLY found our feet again...

found our feet again FINALLY!! yes we are back on the coast and have been for a while and i must say what a releif to be home. that town is horrrible and depressing and i have pity on anyone who says they are going to move there. the kids especially have changed they are much happier here and so am i. they have gone back to daycare and we are in our own place, ive even gone back to work which is great. i have no idea what else to write so ill come back later when i figure it out! cya

Hospital Trip #1, Child #1

well it was bound to happen soon, but i never thought it would be emily in hospital first! she decided she could fly and jumped off the couch, but just like her mum she hurt herself lol!! we called an ambulance cos she screamed whenever she moved her head. When they came they put her in a neck brace and had to strap her onto an adult leg brace cos she is so small!! she looked so cute but you could see she was hurting. The ambulance officer told me to take a PHOTO!! i looked at her a bit weird wondering if she was a scrapbooker lol!! Before we left for hospital they got her to suck on those green stick things like on tv and it knocked her out. After me and ben stopped panicking off we went in the ambulance. and that is where it all went sour. Mt Isa hospital is the worst! seriously.It took ages to find out anything at all. She went in for a CT scan and because we are in a mining town when she was halfway throught he machine the mines decided to let off explosives (Which they do religiously at 8pm) so as u could imagine i was in the waiting room panicking because the walls were shaking and all i could hear was em screaming!! it must have been so scary! when she came out she had a big smile!! she had 2 big stickers on her arm but she was not happy about the CT scan. She said she didnt want to go back in the washine machine pmsl!! Out if that scan they said they THINK she has a fracture in the base of her skull. THINK!!! i couldnt beleive it. we stayed in overnight hoping to find out more the next day. she had another CT scan much to her disgust and yes it was a fracture so she had to be very careful. but that night she was walking around and jumping off the hospital bed! i couldnt keep her still! the doctor said we were able to go home the next morning but when he came around that morning he seemed to have forgotten our conversation because then he said he wanted her in for another night!!!!! When ben came up i was beside myself!! so we ended up having a big talk to each doctor and all the nurses. Ben came agutsa with 1 nurse and i did the same thing with another nurse. she told me she knows it is slow but i had to understand we were in a remote area! i had to laugh!! people get sick here too!!
but we are home now finally and she is still being a ratbag. 'but she is a kid and thats what they do' as dad would say lol. we are just happy it wasnt more serious.


Quick note before i sign off im so excited to say CONGRATULATIONS to Naomi and Taren!! They are finally pregnant and I wish them all the best!

I'm SOOOOO excited!!!

Hiya!!! Well i have been given the best news ever!!! Mum, dad and the boys are coming to visit!!! Hooray!! Im so excited. I never thought they would come here LOL. They will be here for braydens birthday so that should be great. I miss everyone so much so maybe this may stop my homesickness a bit. I think the only reason why i want to go back is because of all the family i have left. But we will be back eventually!! Just not exactly sure when. Ben is going really well in the mines and he has really settled in. He is always bringing me home crystals which is lovely. I have quite a few now.He is missing everyone too. Especially little Jazzy, who is always too shy to talk on the phone lol, bless her. We get cards and letters off her all the time though which is sweet. Im missing my little furry friend Milo, who has been living with Naomi and Taren since we left. He is such a bundle of energy i hear and im glad to hear he is doing well. It is his birthday soon so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILO!! I have let Naomi keep Milo now because he could not handle the heat up here but i still have a special spot for him.
The kids are going really well. Brayden still has the chicken pox lol. poor darling. But he has been fine with it. Emily had a spot on her belly last night but we have to wait to see if it develops into pox too.
I miss my special nephews like crazy. Im so glad everything is on track with Evan. He has such a sweet nature. Those boys are adoreable. i wish i could give them a big hug. I had a dream the other night that mum and dad bought tina up here too but i know thats impossible. If im dreaming about tina then i guess that means i miss her lol. Oh i hate to admit it but yes i do lol.Big sister, i miss you more than i thought i would. Oh im getting all soppy so i better go. Catch yas all later MWAA!!! cya

Chicken Pox Ahoy!!!

Well it is official, Brayden has successfully caoght the chicken pox. Its not too bad at the moment but the poor little bugger has them in his belly button. OUCH! It hasn't stopped him from being his adventurous little self and destroying everything. He is definately keeping me on my toes lol. We went to Moondarra Lake on Sunday and it was beautiful. We had a picnic with Ben's aunt Kirsty and his cousin Charlie. The kids played for hours. They had a ball chasing the peacocks again. Brayden didn't get attacked by one this time though!! All in all it was a great afternoon. Starting to get used to it up here now. I have learnt my way around and have been keeping busy with the kids. Ben bought a petrol remote control car this week so we will most probably be taking that out for a run this weekend while ben is on rdo.Not much luck with the house hunting at the moment but hopefully something will come up soon. Would feel more settled when we are in our own place. Nothing much else happening here at the moment but will keep you posted!! hayley
